SIX DAYS...

Thats right, six days...that's how long I have not had internet access and I was DYING!!!!  Thanks to Verizon I am back online but I have SO much to do that I don't have time to make my blog all fancy for new years or upload any house pics yet.  Check back next week!

Vegas for my 31st

So Friday afternoon I was sitting at my desk at work and was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for my birthday Saturday. I wasn’t satisfied with any plans (other than my original that I have been saying ALL year that I wanted to go to Disneyland and watch it snow) so I starting thinking “outside the box.” About 10am it hit me…..I wanna go to Vegas for my bday! I called Drake and we looked at hotel prices and how we could pull it off, called Gus (2 hours later mind you) and told him “I know what I wanna do for my 31st…..VEGAS!!!” He said “let’s do it” and off we went!!! Maiza hooked us up with some JetBlue tickets so Saturday morning we were off Jet Setting for a whirl wind trip!  Jeff is there too, he just didn't land in front of the camera, hahaha.

We arrived and checked in at Planet Hollywood and went to lunch at Margaritaville, Drake and I had the Perfect Margaritas and were loving them!!! After lunch Drake and I hit the Forum Shops and sent the guys off to watch sports, we walked a TON and then headed back to the room to get ready for dinner. PH has PF Changs inside and that is my all time #1 favorite restaurant so of course we went there and our dinner was SOOO good! After stuffing ourselves and watching Jeff fall asleep at the table we decided to hit the blackjack tables and try our hand at lady luck….well the guys did, Drake and I had a photo session with a slot machine. Gus was on a hot streak and won!! He was a good hubby and handed me the chips and said go shopping tomorrow!

After staying up WAY too late we all headed to bed for a few hours of sleep, and I mean a few! Sunday we went to the buffet and then hit the mall again. Becky and Chris were there on a weekend getaway and she walked (a long way) to come meet us at the Miracle Mile Shops. We had a great time shopping and I used a little of the $ to get a couple small things, the rest went right back into savings for the house.  Cutting it close after the Titans/Dolphins OT game we booked it to the airport and while we were waiting for the plane we ran into Guy Fieri, he is one of our favorite TV personalities and he was so nice, what a great way to end my 31st birthday!

When I got home Jordan was glued to my lap while I was posting pics...Michaela is on the floor next to me, they missed us.  I had the BEST birthday yet, thank you for all the messages and love!

First Look

Gus and I had a chance to walk thru the house last night as the old tenants were heading out. Here are some rough shots of the new place. Paint, capret cleaning and lots of cleaning to come before we get the keys in 10 days! I forgot to get a shot of the pool, sorry! Moving

Well after 6 1/2 years in the Malvern condo we are FINALLY moving! I can not believe I have lived there that long but what a blessing that home has been to me and all that lived there. We are packing up this month and the big day is the 27th, the truck is coming and all our stuff is getting hauled out down all those stairs. I can't believe after all this time how much stuff we have accumulated. I am really excited to be moving to a house in La Mirada even tho we are still renting, it will be so rad to have a house with a pool! That's the best part you know!

Happy Birthday !

 

Today is Rays 33rd birthday so last night he had us over for dinner. He was ALL excited because he made ribs with some awesome BBQ sauce but what he forgot is that I don't eat ribs! And neither does Gus, and neither does Christi! HAHAHA it was really funny to have all of us sitting there poking at them trying to get a few bites off and filling up on cornbread and beans. I told him that I am poor and his present is me attempting to eat ribs with him! Happy 33rd Ray love you brother!

Uh-Oh.....

Here comes the blog! HAHAHAHA. I have always thot "who wants to read about me and my cats" but I guess who cares!!! This is my forum to write all the fun things that happen day to day in our lives, and currently that involves the twins and that's about it. I feel bad loading up FB with a million pictures and updates on my personal life, so I guess if you wanna know whats goin on in my head you can log in and read it here, if not: o-well! Hope you have some good laughs reading about our crazy antics!!!

Currently the best stories in our household are of the 6 month old twin kitties we adopted from Mike and April. We have had them since they were 5 weeks old and now they are SOOO big! Here are a few pics from the 1st couple months we had the twins Jordan and Michaela (and yes they are named after Michael Jordan). Jordan has brown feet, is a Cowboys fan, she is lovingly referred to as "Fat and Fluffy" and is my cat. Michaela has the white feet and trys to be a Titan fan and we call her "Lean and Mean" and she is wholeheartedly Gus' baby. She loves him SO much and waits by the door at night till he gets home.

Gus used to be a "Dog Guy" but these 2 have clawed their way into his heart and it warms my heart to see them cuddle up in his lap at night.

Jordan has become addicted to sitting in my lap where ever I am at, which can become a problem because now she follws me everywhere and crys until I either pick her up or sit down and let her cuddle. I think she's a little spoiled, hahahaha. Last week she was "working from home with me" and she loves to help me farm!

You will see twin updates but I PROMISE you will see real posts from time to time! Hahaha :)
