2-Month Appointment
We had our 2-month appointment Monday afternoon and my little guy weighs 12 lbs!!! My little hunky chunk got 3 shots and he must have my tolerance for pain because he only cried at the initial pricks and then calmed himself down. He wasn’t even whimpering when I picked him off the table, what a trooper!
Please Pray for KP
Miss Kalea is in the hospital with bronchitis, a UTI and maybe pneumonia. She has been there since Christmas night and today April was told she will be there at least till the 1st. Pray for that baby girl, for her mommy and her brothers Van and Brody who are both fighting an ear infection at home. It’s killing me that I can’t go be with April everyday, hopefully Friday I can go see her while my MIL watches Tay for a bit. Thank you for your prayers for the Shafer family!
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve we drove out to AZ to spend the holiday with Gus’ family (traveling pics to come later). Maiza had the most beautiful decorations and yummy cake pops for us. We had a nice dinner and the kids got to open 1 gift, and so did we. Mike and Maiza gave us a “new to you” camera. They had just bought a new one and gave us their old new one so we can have good pics of Taylor as he grows up the next few years! The pics here are still from the old camera, and new pics and Christmas day will be a while because we don’t have the cord to upload them yet, hopefully this week. We ate a really nice dinner, set off fireworks and visited long in to the night. We had a really fun time and that night also marked the 1st night Taylor slept thru the night, WOO HOO!!!
Maiza had a kitchen tree (above), my new favorite thing! It had all kitchen and food themed ornaments and the red garland is mini cupcake wrappers, so freaking cute!!!!
Christmas Eve Eve
Thursday night we hosted a mini Christmas celebration with my side of the family before we left for AZ. Grandad, Mom, Dad, Ray and family all came over for dinner and presents. We had a fun time laughing and opening toys with the boys. Ray texted me the other night and said I won for best Christmas present for Ryle, his new remote control car! My Fav of the night was my new paci's for Tay, a little more Dallas love in the house!

Birthday Weekend
I had a really fun birthday weekend! Saturday we went to Becky's for her holiday baking party and taylor was all smiles for all the ladies! I prebaked my cookies so I could just hang out with the girls and came home with lots of yummy treats! Thank you Beck for a wonderful time!
After the baking party The 3 of us traveled up to Mike and Aprils so the boys could go to a rock show together and April and I could hang out with all the kiddos! Taylor and Kalea had the same jammies on so we had to have a photo shoot! We spent the night and Tay slept the longest he has ever slept - 6 hours! But we paid for it last night with him being awake for - 5 hours!!! We'll get this straight one day :)
Sunday we had a few people over to watch football and eat all those cookies! So it was my actualy birthday but we didn't do it up at all, just watched TV, talked, ate and played with the kids! Kaylee got to meet Taylor finally and she was in love with him! She even told her mom that she wanted a baby brother for Christmas :)

Routines
Needless to say our daily routines have changed a LOT so here are some updates on the fun things happening int he Lombardo household!
The twins love to go to bed with me, they always sleep in Gus' spot until he gets there and this night they wouldn't leave, it was so funny!
That's right- a foot rub, LOVE IT!!!
Coffee dates with good friends, this morning we were hanging out with Shannon!
And this is how I get stuff done! Tay loves his bouncer and I move it all over the house and he watches me do my chores. This is Tay watching me blow dry my hair, singing silly songs of course!
Family Birthdays
We had a wonderful lunch with the entire family to celebrate all the December birthdays! What a shocker we went to Heroes and had some awesome food. Ryle was so excited to see Taylor and he says "he's my best friend!"
Bouncie Babies
Tay and Kalea love to hang out together, here they are bouncing away at Aprils last week after a shopping adventure with their moms!

Bless You Baby!
Day 1 a little sneeze comes outta my baby boy and after you hear this "ahhhhhh." We all giggled and commented on how cute his little coo was after his sneeze! Well 6 weeks later he is still doing it. Almost every time he sneezes he coos this super cute little "ahhh" after and I got it on video. This was 2 weeks ago and it's about 30 seconds in but there is his little sneeze and "ahhhhhhhhh!"
And yes Jordan is cuddling with him in the playmat, and yes we lock her outta his room when he is in the crib, otherwise she would be in there laying with him for every nap!

The Bottle Throttle
Taylor had his 1st bottle this week!
When Tay goes to daycare in January he will have 3 bottles a day so we are slowly getting him used to the nipple. He did really well and throttled it in munites! The only problem was he is used to taking 30 minutes to eat and with the bottle he took 3 minutes so it kinda threw his schedule off a bit but we worked it out! Tonight my mom and dad are coming over to babysit while Gus and I head out to a Christmas party and he will get his 2nd try at it. Hopefully it goes just as well, I'm excited to have a night out!
And on a side note, thank goodness my boppy is big enough for 2 because Jordan loves to lay right next to brother when he is eating! Here's me with both my little snuggle bugs!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
Ever since I was a sparkle in my parents eye I have received 1 special ornament each year to commemorate that year and things I had accomplished. And of course I have several from each year including gifts from friends, school projects and random ones picked up along the way. My mom started a list documenting each one and the year I received them which I continue to add to each year. When I moved out on my own my mom gave me a huge box with all my ornaments for my tree so I can continue on the tradition in my home. It was wonderful to start out my own Christmas tree with this precious tradition that I hold dear to my heart.
When I met Gus he didn't have one ornament so I have spent the past 5 years collecting them for him and giving them to him in his Christmas stocking each year to celebrate him, his accomplishments and interests that year. I think he is more excited to find ornaments than I am sometimes and he picks them out in the most random places all year long. Now that we are married we buy combo ornaments and most years we collect several, this year we have a few, one remembering our trip to San Francisco, and pretty soon we will have one arriving to celebrate our 1st year as parents (it's on order).

This year he had 2, both which were given to him by my mom before he was born. His first is a small white rattle with "Baby's 1st Christmas" and his second is a Dr Seuss stack of books that came with a stack of books for him at my baby shower! Gus and I made sure they were among the 1st to go on the tree!

The Babysitter
INTRODUCING OUR NEW BABYSITTER!
Taylor loves loves loves his Christmas tree and will sit and stare at it for 30 minutes cooing and talking to it! He loves the lights and pretty colors and draws his eyes to it every time he is in the living room. As you can see his other babysitters are the twins, they love him and always need to know where he is. If I am not right near him Chaela sits next to him, she is his protector. Jordan sits over my shoulder on top of the couch and he stares at her when he is eating, it's so cute! He is all smiles for his girls, what good big sisters they are!

Santa Baby
Mom took me to see Santa today in my new Christmas jammies. I don't have a list of things I want him to bring me yet so i just cooed at him and then I took a big nap. What did you ask Santa to bring you???

The Playmat
If you have an infant you must get one of these playmats! It's Taylor's favorite thing to do and he will lay in it for almost 30 minutes talking to the toys and the animals on the walls. The only problem is that Jordan and KK love it too! They fight over who gets to lay in it and I usually have to kick one, or both of them out to lay Taylor in it. Yesterday I just put Tay next to Jordan and he was all smiles for the camera! I love his little smile, it brightens my day!
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was so much fun! We all gathered at my parents house for 4 days and had some great food, laughter, and fun! My Brother and Sister both drove out with their families from AZ and got to meet Taylor and spoiled him like crazy.
We took some family pics, nothing fancy just some fun to remember the occasion!
After pics we all rode the carousel, and Gus and I had the best seat in the house, a rocking bench!
I am so thankful for all the memories we made, the blessings Gus and I have received this year and all our wonderful friends, we love you all!

Kalea Pauline November Shafer
Little miss Kalea Arrived Monday the 22nd, 3 days before she was due, she shot out of April so fast that she didn't even have to push one time, LUCKY!!! She came out with brown hair, which is a shocker to us all! We are betting that it will fall out and come in blond one day tho :) I couldn't take Taylor to the hospital so Gus was there to represent the Lombardo Fam but 2 days later Tay and I made a field trip to meet her! She is adorable and has the daintiest little voice, even when she cries. Van loves her so much and introduces her to everyone and Brody is not too sure, but he will figure it out soon.
The day after Kalea was born her Great Grandmother Pauline passed away in the same hospital. Pauline was my great aunt (aunt Mary K's mother) but she was always a Grandmother to me. She will be dearly missed, but she is home now with her wonderful husband Keith who we lost 6 years ago. Mike and April gave Kalea her name in honor of the wonderful woman and role model she was to all of us.
