Last Minute Angels Fun

Yesterday when I walked into my office our assistant came to me and said "want tickets to today's game?" Well there's no way I'm gonna turn that down! So I called my Brother and asked if we wanted to meet me there after school with the boys to watch the Angels beat the Blue Jays! It was a last minute trip to the ballpark, in fact we didn't even get there till the 4th inning, but we had a really fun time! Ryle is SOOOOO much better this year and loves to sit and watch the ball, and the train, and the planes, and talk talk talk. I can't believe how much he talks now! Gabe and I were the cool kids in the back making fun of the random people around us. He's almost too cool for me....almost!

 

Choo Choo - Nathan Turned 2!

Sunday we went to Irvine Park to celebrate Nathan's 2nd birthday! We had a wonderful time (even tho it was cold) with lots of friends and family. We rode the train, watched the pony rides, and had yummy mini cupcakes and lots of laughs. Nathan had a good time running circles with Gus and chatting under a tree for a while. Gus is the best Uncle to all his little guys he has around, they all run and scream for him when they see him, it melts my heart!

 

The Sweetest Wave of Hello

Wow what a morning we had! Gus and I had our BIG ultrasound today and it was so amazing! For the record NO we do NOT know what it is and there is no envelope and no pictures, hahaha! She was very nice and respectful of our wishes and stayed away from that area entirely when we were observing. Gus asked her if she knew what it was and she said “of course!” She asked if he wanted to know or if we wanted her to write it down just in case and he said a firm no.

Taylor is doing great and growing right on schedule, the tech said the baby looks good and strong. As soon as she turned the monitor to us to see and placed the wand on my belly Taylor waved at us! I cried, I don’t think it really hit me until right then that Taylor is in there and ready to come and change our lives forever. We got to see the heart beat and watch all 4 chambers pumping away and listen to that little sucker pound! She said Taylor likes to open and close their hands a lot and cover their face too. We also got to see Taylor open and close its mouth and stick their tongue out at us, it was SOOOOO cute!

Weekend Adventures

Saturday Gus and I joined the pool crew for ONE sunny day lounging by the water! It was so nice to just sit and relax and read for a while. I even got a trip to Old Navy in for their maternity sale.

That evening Drake and I headed down to Newport to celebrate Stacy's 29th birthday. We have a fun time dressing up and steppin out with the girls! We had dinner at home because I was STARVING and then went to The Cannery for soup and salad, just a little backwards hahaha.  After dinner we went to Woodys and had a college flashback.  I have long passed those days of cramped bars with way too many people jammed into a corner.  NO THANK YOU, give me a wine bar or Heroes any day!  We made the best of it and I think I got home about 3am, Taylor and I were dancing the night away with the birthday girl! Needless to say Sunday was spent doing a lot of nothing, that day wiped me out!

In PG news, I officially have a line on my tummy now, it's hilarious! I don't feel far enough along to see that already but everyone's different right? Who says I can't be losing weight, wearing my same clothes and have a tum tum and a line already?!?!?! Can't wait till I pass the "beer gut" stage and hit the "pg belly" stage!

Two Cute

The twins are almost 1 and they are getting SOOOO big! They had a little visitor yesterday and they both did really well. Kaylee (18 months) is coming to stay the weekend with us in a few weeks and she came by with her mom and dad to visit the twins. They were so good with her and sniffed and walked around and around her. It was the 1st time Michaela didn't run and hide under the bed all day. It gives me great hope for Taylors arrival!

Luke Daniel Arrives!

Doc and Maria welcomed Luke Daniel on Friday at 8 am via C-Sec. He wieghs 8 lbs. 6 oz. and measured 19 1/2 inches. He looks just like his dad and when he smiles he looks a lot like his big brother Cole.

Sunday we went up to visit them and meet the little guy. Maria is doing really well and came home yesterday.  She even got a belly rub in, hahaha.  He is such a sweet baby and I can't wait to see him again.  I am so happy that the Pumpkin has so many cousins to grow up with and get in lots of trouble like their daddy's did!

Mothers Day

I had the pleasure of hosting my first party, and family holiday at that this weekend. We had a really good time chatting and playing with the doggie. After some SUPER yummy carne asada we all crashed out and watched the Celtics game and cleaned up. It was super fun to have people over and I can't wait to host more parties! I promise they are coming up!

Brutus Comes to Visit

Mom and Dad came over for the weekend and brought Brutus! He got to meet Jordan and Chaela and lets just say they will NEVER be the same. Guess the dog is outta the picture for a long time!

O MY GOSH!!!!!!!!

OK if you know anything about me you must know that I am a HUGE Cowboys fan!  I have been cheering them on ever since I was 6 years old and would hang out in the living room with my Dad on Sundays in my cheerleading uniform practicing my routines.  My uniform colors were white, silver and blue and I wanted to root for the team that matched my outfit (it starts early you know hahaha).  My dad gave me 2 choices, the Lions or the Cowboys, well once I saw the DCC I was hooked.  I have been a true fan ever since.  I have a license plate frame, a mini helmet hanging from my mirror, a cozy blanket, my favorite hat and 2 baby outfits already set for the Pumpkin.

Last night Gus joined me at W2 for a bbq and he came in wearing this:

Needless to say I was speechless and couldn't even grasp what he had on his head or that it's autographed by Emmitt Smith!  The 1st thing that camne outta my mouth was "can we put the baby in it?"

 

My hubby is the best! Even tho he is a HUGE Titans fan he fills our home with Cowboys gear because he knows how much I love it. He says it's a win win because he has a wife who loves football no matter what!  More pics of the surprise coming soon!

The Emotional Roller Coaster Week

I can’t believe it’s already Tuesday. My body thinks it’s still last Monday, where the heck did this week go? I don’t have too much energy to spill everything here so I will just give you a flyby of how my week went.

Lots of late nights left for very little sleep and some headaches, so that brings us to Friday, hahaha. Friday night I got together with the FabFour and went to dinner and a wine tasting for Layer Cake, one of our absolute favorite Australian wineries. It was so much fun that we didn’t want to leave and ended up watching the Backup Plan at Gieser’s and stayed up till 2am! It was reminiscent of the old GPhiB house days, what great times we had! I even bought a bottle of wine to enjoy in November, I am so excited!

Saturday the pumpkin and I went to the T.P kiddos birthday party and got some good sun, I had a wonderful time catching up with you ladies! I skipped the afternoon party I was supposed to go to and then that night we went out for Shannon’s birthday dinner and thank goodness we were home and in bed early!

My parents came over late Saturday evening to spend the night and Sunday we had a wonderful breakfast before they headed off to the hospital to see my uncle. We worked around the house and then got the call that they were removing life support and that the AZ family was heading our way to camp out at our house too. They arrived at midnight that night and needless to say I was sleeping so Monday morning I got to visit with them for a few minutes before I ran out the door to work.

So the big news is that my Uncle Danny was very ill and passed away mid morning Monday. He was born with a large hole in his heart and they assumed that his health was failing because of congestive heart failure but by Saturday they had no clue. He had a staph infection over 90% of his body and he just wasn’t improving. I visited a few times and he was in the Critical Care Unit and we have to gown up and wear masks to see him. He was unconscious, but it was good to go in there and say goodbye. Sunday his wife decided to remove his life support and by Monday he was home with the Lord. He was my dad’s older brother and it makes me so sad to see my dad go thru the pain of losing a sibling. My heart breaks for him. Uncle Danny you will be missed, your sweet smile, loving hugs and Disney knowledge always brought a smile to my face and warmth in my heart, we love you.
