Haircuts, Car Races and Disneyland - O MY!!
We had a wonderful week off work together for our mini staycation! We relaxed at home and got lots of rest, played at the park, ate out with friends and shopped.
We also decided it was time to trim the Boy's hair. We wanted to grow it out more but it started really bothering him so before mommy got a trim we got Tay's trimmed as well. He had a fun time making faces in the mirror and only cried when he got hair snips in his eyes at the end. So proud of my little man!
May 27th was Grandad's 90th birthday speed trap party and the kids all got to make race cars and pull hot laps in the yard! Tay loved his car except he kept falling forward and the wheels kept coming off. I think Daddy's days as a mechanic are far behind him! It was a great party, thanks to all the hands that worked so hard to put it together!
And our week would not be complete without a trip to Disneyland, as a matter of fact we made 2! We met up with Auntie and Ryle one day and hit a few rides (and for the 2nd year in a row I was able to see Goth day - not like I planned that!) and then we met up with Beck, Bella and Vincent and got to do lots of new things we havent tried yet. Tay had a great time meeting the goats and spinning away on the teacups with his friends!

And our biggest news that I haven't posted yet is that Gus got a job with JetBlue! He is working at the Long Beach airport and loving it. He was in Orlando for a week of training (hell week for this mama) and then home to relax a bit before he started his on the job training last week. He's all cleared and today is his 1st official shift off training and he's having a great time. On Memorial Day Tay and I went to meet him for a BBQ and we got a tour of the offices and to meet many of his coworkers. I am so proud of my Gusto and all the hard work he put into getting the job and passing training with rave reviews. He was voted the Valedictorian of his class, way to go Daddy! We are so excited for this new adventure for our family, not only for the perks but for Gus's new career path, we are officially part of the JetBlue family and loving it!

Luke's 2nd Birthday & Mother's Day
We had a great weekend together as a family! Saturday we went to the park for Luke's 2nd birthday and Tay had a wonderful time swinging and playing with his friends. He went down the BIG slide all by himself several times and every time we tried to bring him back to the party he headed straight back to the slide! Maria had the BEST balloon artist I have ever seen and she made Tay a frog that he wore on his wrist that rattled, he absolutely loves that! Rina and I had to take our usual picture of Tay and Rey together since they are only days apart, its so fun to see how they have grown up together.
Mother's day was so relaxing and fun! Mom and Dad came out to spend the night and we went to church together then home for a yummy lunch. The fam came over and we all sat outside and enjoyed the day. It was so nice to relax with the moms (Mom, Christi, and Silvia) and not have to do anything, those men spoiled us! After lunch I spent the day relaxing on the couch and the guys hung Tay's swing outside. After a nap for mommy we spent the rest of the evening playing outside together, it was a perfect day. Balboa Park
After the wedding we finished out our weekend at mom and dad's and Sunday we headed over to Balboa Park to ride a few rides and walk around. Tay got to fly his own airplane (all by himself ;) and we all rode the train together. He was waving at all the animal sculptures that we passed and saying choo choo -which sounds like "hmm hmm!" We walked around the artists square and saw so many beautiful pieces of artwork, and some very random ones as well. It was a really fun relaxing day, thanks mom and dad!

Ashley + Mike = The Drews!!!
I had the immense honor of being a part of my dear friend and former roomie Ashley’s wedding last weekend. It was a whirlwind of 3 days and I am still recovering! We spent the weekend in Carlsbad and Tay hung out at my mom and dad’s in San Diego. Thursday was the rehearsal and dinner and then Friday May 4th was the wedding day. Mike and Ash got married at Leo Carrillo Ranch in San Marcos which was so amazingly beautiful. The ranch has a very rustic feel with an old windmill and cobble paths; there were also hundreds of peafowls roaming the grounds. The ceremony was so sweet and they sealed their vows with a beautiful kiss, I’m so elated that this day finally arrived! We danced the rest of the night away and enjoyed bbq and pies for dinner. I am so beyond the moon happy form Mike and Ashley, it’s been a long road to get them here but they are finally where their hearts desired to be, together. I love you both and can’t wait for those Drew babies!!!
