32 Weeks, The Countdown Begins!

WOW, month EIGHT!!!! I knew August would fly by but I never thot like this!

We are now officially on the countdown to getting the house really ready with all of Taylor’s things and our bags packed for the big day! Now that all 3 showers have passed (thank you once again to all my loving friends and family for the love you have shown us!) we can get ourselves a bit prepared and put together! As you can see Tay’s room is filling up and the next couple weekend projects are to organize organize and organize! My hubby gets to put together all the equipment and I get to shop, woo hoo! I have a few items to fill in and a couple gender specific outfits to buy for the hospital but other than that we are set! Our plan worked to keep this baby a surprise and it left everyone no choice but to help us stock up on all the necessary items. I had about 5 people call me all concerned that we didn’t have ANY clothes for the baby and as you can see below I have an entire laundry basket FULL of clothes for Taylor! I am not worried one bit! Plus I will do PLENTY of shopping with my mom the 1st 2 weeks Tay is here to get even more, can’t help it, it’s engrained in me!

Pregnancy has treated me pretty well this past month even with the heat. Luckily I work in an office with 4 menopausal women and they run the air at about 72 so I am in HEAVEN and will gladly stay there alllllllll day long. As soon as I get home I am in the pool until about 9:30 every night to help cool off. Swimming and floating have really helped save my feet from swelling and I am hoping I can get another few weeks of pretty ankles before the swelling just naturally takes over. I can tell my appetite has increased and I can eat more, but if I get too full then I am really uncomfortable, it’s a catch 22 in my tummy these days. I have been sleeping really well and had only minor back aches if I sit too long. Pray that the next few weeks go as smooth as the last 32!

Taylor's Sweet Baby Shower

What a SWEET day it was indeed!

Saturday my AMAZING girlfriends hosted the most beautiful baby shower for Taylor! I can’t even begin to express my gratitude towards their time, effort, energy and creativity! I loved every minute of it, well minus the heat, but it was so fun to see so many women welcoming this baby into our family with their wisdom and love. There are a ton of pics, so here they are! Thank you to all who were there as well as there in spirit, I love you all!

O Sister Sister

Happy 34th Birthday Gus!

For my hubby's birthday I had about a million things I wanted to get him but as soon as I wandered thru BestBuy it jumped out at me and bit me like a snake: he NEEDS a wall mount!  We have had our new TV for about 7 months and have had it on a table in several different places but he was gung ho on getting it on the wall.  Well that costs $ and $ is going towards Taylor and my leave this year so we have been putting it off.  So when the TV aisle called my name I knew exactly what to get him!

Ray and the boys came over last night to help Gus out and get him all set up for the upcoming football season!  Ryle and I got to play and he was in LOVE with Jordan, and she was so curious about him.  She followed him all over the house and wanted to know what this little person was all about. 

Now all we need is a new little shelving unit for the boxes and to redo the cords and we are all set! 

The Twin's Horrendous Weekend

My poor babies!!!!


Jordan decided that she was gonna go with me to AZ on Friday so she hopped in my bag and would not get out! I think she knew it wasn’t gonna be a good time there alone with her sister and man she was right.  I left Friday with my parents and Gus stayed home and flew out Saturday. We both came home Sunday evening to only Chaela yelling at us and these long muffled sad cries from Jordan. She was locked in the bathroom! Gus ran outta the house so fast Saturday that he didn’t notice that she wasn’t around and she had to spend the weekend in our tiny bathroom alone. I rescued her and started bawling, I felt so bad for my baby girl. Gus came in and saw me and knew what had happened (it’s not the 1st time, we have both locked her sneaky bootie in there before) and he started crying too. Chaela was so mad that she was “alone” all weekend and that she had to hear her sister cry for 36 hours and couldn’t do anything about it. It took them about 2 hours to forgive us but they did and they were so happy we were home. Both of them were glued to my leg until I had to peel Jordan off my feet this morning as I walked out the door to work. Needless to say she wasn’t happy about that. Thank goodness they are just cats…I can’t imagine what stupid errors are coming with Taylor, o GEESH!

The AZ Shower & Gus' Bday

We had a wonderful (HOT) weekend in AZ with our family! We went over there to celebrate Taylor and Gus’ bday, it was just easier to kill both birds with one stone! Gus’ sister hosted a beautiful party themed out in lady bugs and zebras. We ate tons of food, opened presents and watched the kids play lots of games in the game room. It was so fun to see all the family together laughing and talking about the fun adventures we have in the next few months! Sorry the pics are blurry, not my fault…..but they are all I’ve got!

Gus got lots of fun things for his 34th birthday! He got a new Ipod, an Ihome, and a wall mount for his big ole HDTV, I'm excited for that!

This is my super cute GreatNiece LilyBug!  And yes she is a great niece but she is literally my greatniece! Lily is my oldest niece Kyrstin’s daughter and she is 9 months old. She is so cute and LONG, this kid is gonna take after her dad and be well over 6 feet tall one day. Look at those long legs! It was our 1st time meeting and I loved holding and playing with her. She even got a few belly kicks from Taylor while she was sitting on my lap. It’s so strange to think that my brother is a Grandpa and my parents are Great Grandparents, man we are getting old!

 

Room Update

Gus' Mom was so kind to buy us a dresser for Taylor's room!  We found this super tall natural color dresser that has lots and lots of room for all the fun things that are making their way into our home.  I promise this kid's room will be decorated and cute 1 day, for now dont mind all the random things you see in the pictures hahaha!

 

28 Weeks

WOW, I can’t believe it’s here, THE 3RD TRIMESTER! I feel like this is flying by and I am trying to cherish every moment. Our calendar is slammed for the month of August so before we know it Taylor will be here!

I feel like I have had it pretty easy this past 3 months but the second I turned 28 weeks I felt a rush of new changes. HORMONES HORMONES HORMONES! They are coming at me like paratroopers at war. I have to remind myself (and my poor husband) that I don’t want to be a bawling mess and I am trying not to be and to pull myself out of it! Along with the nonstop tears the tiredness came back as well. Friday I slept 10 hours, woke up, went to a funeral, and came home and slept 3 more hours! I couldn’t even move I was so tired. I hate that! I am battling back with the treadmill, if I walk for at least 30 minutes I not only skip a nap but I actually feel like making dinner and cleaning up. I need to keep that going, I don’t wanna be zombie wife every day until Taylor arrives.

The doctor gave me my Kick Count Homework chart to keep track of Taylors movements and make sure that the baby is still active and we don’t have any mishaps (not needing to be mentioned here). I get to count how long it takes Taylor to make 10 movements and this active baby takes about 3 minutes! Gus comes home every day and asks what the time was today and makes sure I am charting it. He loves that his baby is so active and likes to let me know that he/she is there.

The last new development is the hiccups! Yep those started last week too and they are the cutest thing ever. ~yes the baby not me LOL~ They tickle my belly and I have to keep myself from giggling every time they happen. I am already sad that in a few months I am not gonna get to feel all this anymore, but then I will have Taylor to help fill that void and bring on a whole new batch of new things to enjoy and love!

The Party Dress

This was just too cute not to post!  I found my shower dress, got it on sale and this is how it arrived!  I am in LOVE with it and can't wait to wear it!  You will have to wait till the 21st to see it!
