Tuesday Fun

I decided Tuesday that I really needed to get outta the house! I have spent almost every waking moment there that past 2 weeks unpacking, organizing and cleaning and as I drove home from work Tuesday I called Gus and said “NOT TONIGHT!!!” He was skeptical and said….well what are you planning? DISNEYLAND of course! I love Disney in the fall, all the pumpkins with a Disney twist made me giddy. We had a quick dinner there and rode a couple rides together and then headed out. Gus is really starting to love – that’s right friends – LOVE his pass. Tay had a really fun time and as we were leaving we found the Mickey Trick or Treat pumpkin bucket and he lit up! He held that thing all the way home, guess we will have to make an appearance at Mickey’s Halloween Party!

 

New Mode of Transortation

Tay decided he liked pushing this around to get where he needed to go -

So Mommy promptly went out to buy 2 of these for the StinkBug! He loves cruising around the office and living room with his new walker. I love hearing him come down the conference room hall and then see him turn the corner and head straight to my office. It's so cute!

HOME

We had our moving day last Saturday and it went so smoothly! We hired Anthony's Moving company and they arrived on time and packed up that huge truck and relocated us back into our little nook of OC that we love so dearly. Thank you so much to the EXTREMELY loving family and friends who helped us trek from 1 end of so cal to the other in less than 2 years.  We could have never done it without you!  We are settled enough to live, but will be hitting it again this weekend to try to decrease the cardboard boxes collecting dust in the garage.

Our 1st evening home Tay got to swim in his new tub - without his baby bathtub! We decided it was a good transition time for him and he had a fun time splashing with Daddy. The twins moved well too, they are adjusting slowly day by day. I think KK just figured out yesterday that we aren't going back to the hold house and she's taking it well so far. They are back to sleeping inbetween us for comfort and you know I don't mind that!

 

More pics will appear as we settle in, and the house warming is piggy backed on to Tay's 1st birthday party, hope to see all our wonderful friends and family there!

Missy + Brett = The Isens!

Last Sunday we got all dolled up and headed out to the Mission Inn to see Missy get hitched! I met Missy when she was a freshman at WCHS and I was teaching there. We bonded instantly and have been great friends ever since. She was the one who cried to her mom as I announced I was leaving WCHS and her mom offered me the position I currently hold at FRM. Three years ago when we moved to our new offices Missy moved into the office right next to mine and I have loved having her right there next to me every day. It has been such a pleasure being there to see her meet Brett, watch their love grow and see them become parents to the amazing daughter they have. The wedding was such a beautiful expression of their love and desire to raise Adel in a Godly home, honoring the Lord as a family. I am beyond happy for the newlyweds, may God grant you many years together

Garage Sale

To help offset the cost of our movers – as well as purge all the stuff we have – we had a garage sale!! It was Gus’s first GS he has ever even BEEN to so it was a lot of fun showing him the ropes. We spent all day Saturday organizing and then Sunday morning I woke up at 4:30 and went to hang signs and we got busy setting up. It was a slow day for sales since it was the holiday weekend but we did move a good amount of items. The best part was as we sat on our couch in the driveway almost all of our neighbors came by to say hello and chat with us. We sold a lot of stuff (I lovingly refer to as crap) and then donated the leftovers at the end of the day. There’s a lot less to move now! Tay was the best baby ever and took super long naps and loved playing in the driveway all day. I promptly crashed out at 8pm happy that we had a successful day!
