Vegas!

Thanks to my wonderful hubby, mother in law and sister in law, I got to get away for a quick 24 hour trip to help celebrate Ash's bachelorette party!  There aren't too many pics but here are some fun ones - fun fact: those big pink cups are filled with water LOL!!  That's about all I can say about the trip, hahahaha!

The ER

I had to take my precious baby boy to the ER last week.  I was sick with a fever and cough at the beginning of the week and by Wednesday Tay had a low grade fever too.  By Thursday at 11 he was breathing really rapidly and his fever was 102 and wasn't going down.  I called the Dr.'s office and they said to get him to the ER right away.  So I scooped him up and off we went to Kaiser.  We waited for quite some time but I didn't mind because he slept on me in the carrier the entire time.  The ER was full so when they called us back to check him out they put us in the hall and informed me that they would be sending us back into the waiting room.  Just as she was about to give him Tylenol a room opened up and the nurse put us in there right away (ahead of 4 other patients too).  I was so thankful that we were in the peace and quiet together and he just laid on me wheezing with each breath.  The Dr. came in and said he probably had a small blockage in his bronchial tubes and they gave him a couple breathing treatments.  After his airways opened up and his fever went down they gave us out own nebulizer and a stock of albuterol and released us.  As soon as we got home he was starting to look like himself again and by Friday afternoon he was running around outside with his daddy.  It was such a scary experience and I pray I never have to live through that again, but I am so happy he is on the mend!

St Patty's and Birthdays!

We spent St. Patty's day in Ventura celebrating Doc's, Van's 5th and Audrey's 3rd birthday's!  We had so much fun catching up, eating, opening presents and eating cake and Aunt MaryK's wonderful cheesecake.  Tay enjoyed a his first bites of corned beef and cabbage and hanging out with all the kids.  Check out his Uggs in the last pic, my new fav's!!!

Ashley's Bridal Shower

It's Wedding season for Ashley!  Last weekend I helped throw her "International" themed shower in Huntington Beach.  We had great food, fun decorations and hilarious games.  I can't wait for all the events coming up celebrating Mike and Ash!!!

Mom's 70th Birthday Party

Here are the photos from my mom’s party back in January! The theme was "70 years in a Flash" and we had ton's of black and white pictures everywhere chronicling mom's life.  Aunt MaryK blew us all away again with the cake, that woman is amazing!!!  We had a really fun party and it was so much fun seeing everyone together!

We also celebrated Ryle's 4th birthday and as you can see he loved his cake that his mom made for him!

In the bottom corner is the picture of the "70 years of Memories" I did for mom, Becky at RCE made the tag and beautiful envelopes.  It was so fun seeing mom open them and read the fun memories people sent to her!

Teegan's 4th Dino Party!

Sunday Tay and I met up with all the Gals and the kids at Build a Bear to celebrate Teeg's 4th birthday! Tay picked a orange dinosaur and the kids all helped name him "Roar" the Dinosaur. It was such a great party, they made their animals, then the entire store sang happy birthday to Teegs and Teren made yummy cupcakes for us all. Tay was very upset that he didn't get to eat 2, he conked out for 3 hours when we got home - now that was a good party! Thanks so much Teren, we love you and your boys!

It's Summer RIGHT?!?!

Its sure felt like it this weekend and we had a BLAST! Friday nite we went to the Fullerton Food Trucks with Drake and Tim and ate WAY too much, then watched some comedy at our place. Saturday Gus worked and then we headed off to Disneyland for our 2nd year as pass holders! We watched the parade curbside and Tay got a high 5 from some dancers, he loved that!  We sat next to the cutest twin girls and he made fast friends with them of course, our little ladies man.  Then as usual we went on rides and then dragged our tired feet home.

Sunday after church we headed to Huntington Beach to meet up with Trail and Sherry and had a great day on the sand! They live about 1 block from the beach so we walked there, the boys took Tay in the water and it despite the 80 degree weather it was freezing in the water.  The beach had this weird shore where they walked in really deep then back up again to a low tide the further they went out.  The pic below has Gus holding Tay before walking up and Trail up, it was strange.  Other than cold water Tay had a great time and only tried to eat the sand 1 time. Tears followed and after that debacle he decided he needed to relocate all the sand from 1 side of the towel to the other and kept himself busy for about 30 minutes walking back and forth organizing the beach. We had a late lunch at Zimzala (which was DELISH!!!) and then headed home.  Can't wait for many more weekends like this!

Whitney Pearl Bright Faust

Sunday evening Miss Whitney made her debut via C-section and made my wonderful friends Wendy and Wes parents for the 1st time. After 3 years of battling infertility the Lord has brought them this precious gift thru IVF and I have NEVER seen a couple handle a challenge from God with such patience, grace and humility. What a blessed reward they have received! Miss Whitney arrived 9 days late and is 8lbs 5 oz & 22 inches long. She has the most beautiful skin, crystal blue eyes (like her mommy) and the sweetest nose ever seen. She's just perfect! Gus and I got to meet this little gal last nite while Tay played at Ryle's for a bit. Thank goodness we were early, the Faust room filled up fast with visitors! Congrats again Faust Fam and I can't wait for all our play dates (and more Faust babies of course!!)  O and you MUST click over to see Whit's nursery - its to DIE for!
