Happy 1st Birthday!!!

Our little Twins turn ONE today! These 2 have melted our hearts and filled our home with so much joy and laughter this past year, I cant wait for many many more with them! They are gonna be great "big sisters" to Taylor!  Here are some of the 300 + pics I have!

We are BEST friends, together all the time!

Jordan, AKA JoJo, JordanGirl, Naughty Girl, is a mama's girl all the way.  She loves to curl up in my lap and always wants a hand on me when she is laying around.  Except at night, she wants to be on the floor, don't touch her, hahaha!  She jumps up for a good snuggle at 5am on my belly and she loves to spend Sunday mornings in bed while I read.  She loves to push the limits and do all the things she's not supposed to, just to drive us insane!  She thinks she's a dog and loves to play fetch every morning before I leave for work and makes mommy late almost every day!

Michaela, AKA ChaelaMarie, KK, The Silver Bullet, Big Sister is a Daddy's girl to the core.  She is the protector, a little timid at times but she knows how to keep her sister in line when she's being naughty.  She hates to be cuddled or picked up and goes stiff as a board if you try.  Except at 4:45 am when she comes to mommy for a morning love and melts into my arms for 5 mintues, then she's DONE for the day!  She sleeps inbetween our feet every night and wants us to be in bed all the time so she can sleep there too.  She will ONLY sit on the couch with Gus and no one else, otherwise she's on the floor!  She loves to tell you what she's thinking and gets REALLY mad on Monday mornings when we both leave for the day, she wants us to be home with her!

We love our twins very much and have had the BEST year with them, happy birthday my little ones, special dinner tonight!!!

And So It Begins

The summer is booking up fast with lots of busy busy weekends so yesterday I asked Gus to start on Taylor's room!  We want to get it setup so the Twins can get used to the new furniture and smells and don't freak out if it all hits them at once in October.  So we spent Sunday morning cleaning out the guest room, making a goodwill pile, and building!  Needless to say we spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool, it was a hot one!

The changing table and crib are the set that my mom had Ray and I in 34+ years ago and a few of my nephews have been in it along the way too.  I am so lucky not only to have these pieces but be able to have Taylor in some very special family heirlooms makes His/Her arrival so much more fun!  The crib will be set up sometime this week!

Those are the sweet words Mario sang to Melissa Saturday night as he serenaded her at their Engagement Party.  It was the sweetest song he wrote about their past 5 years and the new adventure they are departing on together!  Mike and April hosted a great party and had the best food ever, Cowboy Hash and a Mashed Potato Bar, YUMMMM!!!  We had a really fun time visiting with friends and celebrating the Future Forestas!

PPB for Me!

 

I had to stop into Nordstrom’s last night and I cruised thru the baby department to find a black Bella Band since it’s about that time now (made it 20 w 5 days tho!). Well low and behold, a sale! I was on the phone with Gus when I spotted the PPB clutch that I have been internet stalking for 2 years with Becky for only $40! He was so cute and said “get it! I’ll pay for it, I know you really want it!” So like a good wifey I obeyed hahahahaha! I know I won’t be at the small bag stage for quite some time but it was a steal of a deal that could NOT be passed up! Thank you to my wonderful Hubby!

Kaylee Comes to Visit

Gus and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Miss Kaylee Joy! She spent 3 days with us while her parents got a much needed getaway to Vegas. We took her on many adventures to keep her happy and busy as a little bee. She is one of the most well behaved little people I have ever met; she is quiet, a good listener, a good eater and didn’t complain once that she was with us! We took walks to the park to play, swam in the pool, read books, and even got to meet some new friends. It’s no wonder her last name is “Joy”, she is a complete JOY to have around!

The Twins were VERY interested in who this little one was and what are all the goodies that came along with her?!?!?!?! Jordan was very social and patient with her and even let Kaylee pet her, but that came at a price; Jordan loved to sniff and try to steal her food and nibble at her toes while Kaylee was eating. Needless to say she got locked up the 1st time that happened and then left her alone while she ate after that. Michaela was actually being very social and didn’t hide the entire weekend with Kaylee around! The funniest thing was she would get confused and come running in the room if I was talking to Kaylee (we call Michaela “Chaela”)  she would pounce in the room with a “what? what? what?” look on her face. They decided a good place to nap where they couldn’t be reached was on top of my ironing board with my wet clothes laying flat to dry, I let that one slide since they were kicked outta their napping room for Kaylee’s pack-n-play. Sunday while Kaylee napped they got some uninterrupted lounging time with their Daddy by the front door, their favorite thing to do!

Saturday night Kaylee and I joined the gals for “Martini’s and Movies” at Teren’s house. As you can guess I didn’t have a martini or get to watch the movie but it’s OK, I had a WONDERFUL time catching up with the gals! Kaylee was kid #10 and had a blast running around with all the kids, eating popcorn, chocolate covered pretzels, licorice, and everyone’s watermelon slices. Teren, thank you for having us join you and for Kalyee’s bear, she loves it and wouldn’t let it go! You are an amazing hostess and the party was so fun! (and thanks for the pics Beck!)

Sunday I woke up at the crack of dawn and joined Wendy for a 6 mile walk with “Cliffs Crew” to start to train for the Breast Cancer Awareness 3 day. There is NO way I can keep up as they up the mileage but I am happy to join every Sunday and do what I can to support the team! The walk is 60 miles in San Diego in November so I won’t be able to participate this year but hopefully Wendy and I can do it together next year! While I was gone Gus was a great babysitter and got Kaylee up, fed her breakfast and even changed her diaper (and it was his 1st diaper change EVER) without calling me once! What a great Uncle Gus Gus!

After naps W2 brought Latte over to join us in the pool and for a little Laker game party. Wes wants Latte to get used to the pool but there’s a little problem, Latte hates the water! She did a good job and only freaked out the 1st time and then was calm when we brought her in after that. Even tho there was a mad dash to the edge, I think she’ll get the hang of it! Kaylee got a kick outta Latte swimming and she danced her bootie off and sang for us while we floated the heat away.

As we said goodbye to our guests and our SUPER busy weekend we plopped on the couch and Gus turned to me and said “I miss our Intern Kaylee, I want her to come back.”

20 Weeks

Halfway done!  Here's your belly shot from this morning, I think the belly band will be making an appearance in the next few days!  My jeans are barely hanging in there, but there are still buttoned.  Let's see if that lasts till 5 pm hahaha!

 

My Roses

So my hubby brought me 4 roses for our anniversary, 1 celebrating each year and a 4th for our 4th upcoming year. WELLLLL the twins had a great time with them Thursday! I couldn't even get the entire disaster in these 2 pics but you get the gist.

Better Together

Three years ago today I married my best friend.  I can't imagine 1 day without you in my life, my love, my Gusto.  You make me laugh everyday and make my heart smile.  These words will always remain true:

San Francisco

Wow what a whirl wind of a weekend we had in San Fran! Gus and I took a quick turnaround trip to SF to celebrate our 3rd anniversary and get a mini “babymoon” in. We flew out Saturday morning and relied on the city’s wonderful public transportation all weekend long. We rode the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) walked a TON and had a tour bus to get us around town.

After check in we walked to AT&T park to see the Giants take on the Diamondbacks Saturday night. The Giants are Gus’ FAVORITE team and this was his 1st trip to the new ballpark. The park is beautiful with lots of YUMMY YUMMY food! They are known for their Garlic Fries, but I stayed away from them, they looked a little dangerous. We walked around and saw the mitt, the coke bottle slide, the kid’s ballpark, and the crazy guys floating in the bay waiting for homerun balls. One even caught one during batting practice! They are really brave to sit out there in the cold water, they were out there all night with radios listening to the game waiting and waiting for a HR, but alas none went over for them. Gus said there have only been 51 in the last 10 years, so I would wager to say waiting is a LONG shot! We stayed till the end when it was declared a blowout with the Giants winning 12-1, it was a great game to see! We walked with the cheering crowd back into the heart of the city to the hotel and needless to say after trekking almost 5 miles that day I crashed out.

Sunday we woke up early and hit the sights on a hop on-off double decker tour bus. We went thru Fisherman’s Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, The Financial District, Union Square, City Hall, Haight/Ashbury, The Painted Ladies, Golden Gate Park, Golden Gate Bridge (and across it), The Exploratorium, and so many more museums and historic parks. We saw and learned so much about the city in 1 day! The trip across the bridge was FREEZING as you can tell from the pics but it was a gorgeous day to see the entire bay. We had lunch in Ghirardelli Square, walked the shops, stopped in at Boudin’s Sourdough Bakery for some bread, and held our noses all thru Fisherman’s Warf (so I wouldn’t barf hahaha). After a full day we rode the BART back to the airport and then flew home to see the Twins, we always miss them when we are gone!

It's a sign! ~ while walking (aka lost) we saw this tiny door in the middle of 2 huge buildings and were ecstatic that we saw the baby's name!
