Abra-abra-cadabra ....I want to reach out and grab ya!

We had a hot date Saturday night with The Steve Miller Band!  W2 and friends invited us to tag along to the Pond to hear them play all their classics and they ROCKED!!! I absolutely love love love them ever since they were burned into my head every single morning as my brother drove us to school playing the same songs over and over and over again.  It was really fun to see them live.  If you ever get the chance go and make sure you check out Sunny and his sweet dance moves, he's the best!

and yes, we jammed the 6 foot 8 guy into the back of the car, LOL!

Our Romantic Getaway

We had a WONDERFUL Valentine’s weekend with the Fausts! Saturday after GG I went home to get packed up and Gus and I headed out to Palm Springs to meet up with our dear friends Wendy & Wes. We stayed at the Marriott Villas and after a little room mix up we all ended up in the same room! Nothing like sharing 1 room and bathroom to bring friends closer right?!?!?!

Sunday for Valentine’s we woke up early and had a delicious brunch on the patio and then headed to the pool for a couple hours. It was REALLY weird sitting in the pool with 85 degree weather and looking at the snow capped mountains! Wendy and I laid in our cabana and read for a while and then us gals had a wonderful spa afternoon and the guys played a round of golf. The Spa at the Marriott is AMAZING!!! We jacuzzied, got hot stone massages, napped and then went back to get ready for dinner.

We took a mini boat ride to the restaurant were joking that Wes is my “fusband” and Gus is Wendy’s “fusband”. If you only knew how much Wes and I are exactly alike with finances, food, spending etc and Gus and Wendy are exactly alike in those areas, hence our “fusbands!”

We came home early Monday so my hard working hubby could head back to work and I had the day off to clean up the house. As some of you may know our TV broke last week so Monday night we went to Best Buy and got a HUGE flat screen, Gus is in 7th heaven! HD techs come Saturday with our new DVR and we will have a great picture for all those Lakers and Angels games coming up!

Weekend Madness

We had a CRAZY busy weekend!!!  Friday we had "girls night" with Drake and Shann and that's in quotes because Friday afternoon our girls night turned into the guys coming with us!  We didn't mind, they entertain themselves anyways.  Steaks at Stubricks & drinks at Slidebar set us up for a high calorie 3 days, ooops diet, HAHAHA.  But I wouldn't have missed any of it for the world!  

Saturday I worked on the house and actually got all the boxes out, well out of the main part of the house, don't look in the den, LOL.  It feels so good to not see them anymore.  Slowly but surely it's starting to feel like home, now we just need new couches, light fixtures, fans...the list can go on and on!  I made WW Tortilla Soup for dinner (GG you will see that recipe later) and Drake joined us for a teeny fiesta before we headed to Aja's 30th Birthday bowling party.  Aja and I lived together my senior year of college and I am so thankful for FB reconnecting us, love that girl.  Gus kicked our booties, redeeming himself from the last bowling fiasco where 14 people beat his score, he was super excited.  

Sunday was a gorgeous day and I even sat out by the pool for a couple hours and read in the sun, I love February in California!  We went to Shann's to watch the big game that afternoon and were so excited that the Colts lost, we can't stand em, thank you Saints, WHO DAT?!?!?!

Gus' Mom was so sweet to send me a little cold weather care package this week with a few different flavors of hot chocolates and coffees and 2 mugs, (thanks mom!) and I came home from work 1 day to find that ChaelaMarie was enjoying a little French Vanilla all day! She had jumped on the counter and snagged this little goodie and dragged it back to our master bedroom to enjoy. As you can see the bag was torn open and there was powder everywhere. The second I walked into the house she was telling me all about it and wanting me to follow her her to the bedroom and proceeded to "show" me her new snack. I snapped a quick photo on my phone sent it to Gus and laughed before I scolded her and cleaned it up.

Jordan has been super brave these days and she has decided she wants to use the treadmill when I am walking on it. She got her courage up and finally hopped on there (I was at the end of my workout so I slowed it way down cuz I could see it in her eyes that she couldn't take it anymore) and went flying into the wall behind me. I thot that adventure would be the end of her workout ambitions but low and behold yesterday while I was running she wouldn't leave it alone and hopped on there 2 times! So I finally had to pick her up and hold her and she was happy like this for about 30 minutes and then she was over it (of course we had to snap a shot for daddy). Carrying that 8lb kitten on that treadmill def was a workout, that crazy cat is preparing me for a baby for sure, and I know I know I appease her, LOL. I think I will have to start locking them up if I'm gonna get any type of good cardio in!
