Busy Busy!

Two weeks ago we had 1st birthday party madness!  We celebrated with Chelsea turning 1 in the afternoon and then we were off to Cruz's 1st that evening.  Both parties were a ton of fun and Tay was so well behaved for being dragged all over SoCal with no nap.  He played ball with the boys, ate ate and ate and went down the water slide about 100 times.  He LOVED Kimmie's mom's homemade Mac N Cheese (so did this mama) and if you look very closely at each cake smash pic you can see his little face trying to catch some crumbs!

The past 2 weekends I have been NESTING!  Trying to get our house ready for a new nursery as well as a new garage set up has consumed me.  This upcoming weekend we are cleaning out the entire garage and the wonderful men in our lives are coming over to build shelves while mom and I organize.  So prepping for that has meant lots of trips to organizational places for me, The Container Store, Ikea, Target Target Target.... And lots of moving things from 1 room to another.  Saturday I reorganized the toys in the living room and prepped them to be moved to the kids rooms.  Sunday I moved an entire bookcase yesterday and packed 3 boxes of store/sell, lots of progress!  Add in a trip to Costco, BabiesRUs and a lunch date with my girlfriends for Vi's birthday and I was DONE for!   The 3rd trimester monster reared its ugly head and then I collapsed on the couch from exhaustion.

We have been so blessed to have many friends and family once again giving us their baby girl clothes and I finally had a chance to go thru them and attempt to get things all set up.  The piles below crack me up, FYI almost all of them are 12mo-18mo with shoes for a little walker.  My fav's are the boots, they are SO cute!  Tay helped me pick out a few things at Ikea and he got a new hat rack and clock for his room.  He wakes up every morning and says "clock clock clock!"  He had a great time being a tool helper with daddy putting them up.

And last but not least my kid ate salad!  He has decided he hates all vegetables and we have tried and tried to no avail to get him to eat them.  Last night he decided he wanted to eat Daddy's (very strong lemon and red wine vinegar) salad and he dug in for 2 bowls!  Now let's see how long that lasts.....
