Riventure!

We headed to the Russian River just outside of Santa Rosa, last weekend to celebrate Ashley's 30th with w RIVENTURE!  Mike rented a cabin on the river with a private beach and we had the best time lounging and floating all day Saturday.  The cabin was beautiful with gorgeous scenery and a huge table that sat all 20 of us for meals and games.  Lots of laughs were had each night as we ate and played together.

Saturday morning we went to brunch at Corks at the Russian River Vineyards.  It was an awesome little restaurant on a farm with all fresh ingredients for each item.  The food was AMAZING and we met the chef as he walked to the garden to pick fresh basil for the omelets.  After brunch we did a wine tasting as we walked the grounds and visited the chickens and the old the old farm house.

Sunday we cleaned up and headed to San Francisco to hike to the The Tourist Club for lunch.  This place was so beautiful and unique!  It is a private club that opens their doors once or twice a month to the public.  Visitors hike either 5 miles or 1 mile (we did the 1) into the mountain to a authentic German clubhouse (as they call it) and enjoy cold pitchers of beer.  You have to bring your lunch and wait in line to get in and nab a table.  Guests play all sorts of board games while sipping frosty German beers and enjoying the mountain views.  It was a great way to end the trip together and toast to Ashley!

The kids had the best time with their grandparents, great granddad and Aunite Francis and Ryle and fam with a sleepover!  They both did great, we are so blessed by the love of our family who are always willing to swap kiddos for mommy and daddy time, thanks to all who chipped in!  And thanks to Christi who kept my heart warm with pics of my kiddos all weekend :)
