April Showers Bring Me Some May Flowers Please!

Sunday my mother-in-law came over to help Gus and I plant up the backyard. After a wonderful morning sleeping in we cleaned up the house and then headed to Home Depot to do some plant shopping. We decided to try to stick to our budget knowing that our yard is SO big that we can’t plant all we want to at once. So we stuck with several colors of petunias and some tomatoes. Gus planted his Topsy Turvey and Silvia and I worked on the flowers. It was a beautiful day to plant since it was really overcast and cool and we got it all done pretty fast! After digging, planting and cleanup, we headed inside and cheffed up some Carne Asada with homemade pico de gallo (so delish!). I can’t wait till we can plant my herb garden and I can start cooking fresh!
